Gorleston Rangers FC 27th Annual Youth Football Tournament

The tournament was held over the weekend of Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th July 2015 at Ormiston Venture Academy, Oriel Avenue, Gorleston.
Two hundred and five teams entered from as far away as Irchester, Chelmsford, Milton Keynes, Colchester, Ipswich, Kings Lynn, Thetford and Bacton, as well as places closer to home like Norwich, Beccles, Lowestoft, Hemsby and Great Yarmouth.
The tournament was once again a great success with 104 teams battling it out on 14 pitches on Saturday and 101 teams battling it out on 13 pitches on Sunday Nearly 1,500 boys and girls participated in over 750 matches over the weekend.
The Club would like to go on record to thank Leigh Drury, Ormiston Venture Academy site manager and his team for their assistance over the weekend to ensure that the event ran smoothly. Also, thanks to Barry Ereira and Matthew Head for their assistance in recruiting the referees for the tournament.
The club is very grateful to its individual team managers, committee members, friends, parents, associates, referees, St. John Ambulance, Ormiston Venture Academy, Specsavers, Great Yarmouth, trophy sponsors, Great Yarmouth Mercury and programme advertisers for their support in making the tournament possible and the great success it was.
